Did you check the tags on the pillow in your hotel room?

If you did, then the model number should have said either HOS100PI0050 or HOS100PI0320. The model number ending in 050 is for medium, whereas 320 is for firm density.

A bunch of other numbers follow the model number. And those other numbers indicate the size of the pillow.

For example, SKU # HOS100PI0320-WHI-020-026 indicates a 20″ x 26″ standard-size pillow (firm density). Most hotels use medium density, of course. So, we will note below when Firm density is the hotel’s choice (or both Medium & Firm).

Quick Downlite Enviroloft Pillow Review

The Downlite Enviroloft down alternative pillow is very popular among hotels, motels, resorts, etc. In fact, you’ll find Enviroloft pillows at more hotels than any other pillow type or brand.

Most hotels provide both down & feather pillows, as well as a down alternative option. And the down alternative pillow is almost always an Enviroloft pillow from Downlite.

But why?

Traditional down alternative pillows contain polyester fill. Polyester has a few disadvantages.

First, polyester holds on to heat – and ideally, you’d like your pillow to stay cool. But polyester is not very durable when it comes to washing and drying.

Heat makes the polyester fibers melt and clump together. So, if you don’t wash and dry it correctly every time, your pillow will get lumpy, and uncomfortable.

Enviroloft fill, on the other hand, is made from silicone.

Silicone doesn’t hold on to heat and is much more durable than polyester. So, an Enviroloft pillow will last longer and maintain its shape.

Silicone is also softer than polyester. It has a pleasant squishy feel that polyester lacks.
