Where To Buy A Microloft Pillow

This down alternative pillow features Downlite’s Microloft gel fill. They have a squishy soft feeling, available in medium or firm density.

If you checked the tags on the pillow in your hotel room, the model number should have said either SWD100PI0040 or HOS100PI0330. 

The model number starting with SWD is for Medium density. The model number beginning with HOS is for Firm density.

A bunch of other numbers follow the primary model number. Those other numbers indicate size.

For example, HOS100PI0335-WHI-020-026 indicates a 20″ x 26″ standard-size pillow (firm density). Most hotels use medium density, so, we will notate below when Firm density is the hotel’s choice (or both Medium & Firm).

What Exactly is Microloft Gel?

Microloft Gel, also known as polyester gel is a type of polyester that results in thinner strands.

These thinner strands result in a lighter and fluffier stuffing, that mimics natural down feathers. If you squeeze the pillow and play with the filling inside, it feels fluffy and soft – kind of like actual goose down.

So, a Downlite Microloft Gel pillow is the closest alternative to a goose-down pillow.  And, gel polyester doesn’t get as hot as a regular polyester pillow.

 

 

What To Expect From a Microloft Pillow?

Gel Polyester has certain characteristics that are different from traditional polyester.

A Microloft gel pillow is, of course, very squishy. And if you like squishy, then you will definitely love and appreciate this pillow. But some people don’t like the resiliency of this type of pillow.

A squishy pillow presses back against your face, so it can be frustrating if you’re expecting a traditional pillow.
